Short description :
In the western part of Virachey NP inside Virachey forest ,this area has been preserving as the Vuensai -Siem Pang wildlife conservation area .
Vuernsai Siem Pang Community-Based Ecotouristm (CBET) was established in 2011 within the Vuernsai-Siem Pang Conservation Area (VSSPCA) by the local community with support from Conservation International (CI). CBET offers tourists the rare opportunity to experience primary dense jungle ,open sanana ,river, and waterfalls ,and visit the villages of the kavet ,Laos and Chinese. They are local ethnic minorities whose traditional livelihoods depend on the forest and wildlife of the region .


Introduction :
Deep Jungle Trek provides the highest chance to see exotic wildlife such as the giant guar (wild buffalo), four kinds of different monkeys (silver langur, red-shanked dour langur, white tail langur, macaque), gibbon, wild cat, fishing cat, civet, etc and many birds, some very rare, including vulture, peacock, great ibis, giant horn bill, etc.  Trek in the shadow of the giant trees, meet the Kavet ethnic people and enjoy the local wine of the tribe.


Day one: (4 hours trek)

  • Morning: Leave Banlung town at 8:30am traveling by motor-bike for an hour to Veonsai district in the north then take a ferry to cross Sesan river and continue driving through Chinese and Laos villages soon we drive in the jungle for forty minutes.
  • Lunch: Arrive at a large stream where we can wash ourselves then have lunch.
  • Afternoon: After lunch, we start to trek for about one hour and half to meet the jungle people, where you can see the real livelihood of the Kavet ethnic people.  We trek two hours to see "great ibis"spot afterwards. 
  • Evening: We come back to the family to overnight with these people, at night time we are provided a jar wine( how to make: collect many different types of herbal trees including sweet vine and the nest of a kind of bird called dove then they pound them while they steam rice as well and mixed them together then keep in the jar around one to two weeks, the alcohol is about 10% so the taste is sweet and sour which is normally said "very nice" by visitors)  to enjoy, sharing experience with each other while a great clear stars are above our head.

Day two: (6 hours trek)

  • Morning: Wake up about 7:00am to have breakfast then we start trekking, trek in the shadow of many giant trees for about 3 hours .During trekking we look for seeing wildlife ,like birds,silvered langur ,monkeys and gibbon . We have a very high chance to spot and follow these animals for a while . Because at this time of year in the jungle there are many different kinds of trees and those trees they have fruits and this is the deepest part of the Virachey jungle that we can reach in two days trek ,so you can see more wildlife with this trek.
  • Lunch: We have lunch by a small stream.
  • Afternoon: trek a loop by different way back to the family house  and then walking back to the first start of the trek and take motorbike back to Banlung .You are estimated to be back in town approximately 5pm .

Note this option is non-touristic that is only provided by our company and the only that you can meet the monkey's family and ibis.

Things to bring for trekking: 

  • Clothes:  Long trousers, T-shirts, Bathing suit,  a set of clothes for the night.
  • Footware:  Sturdy boots, socks, flip flops 
  • Toiletries: Insect repellent, Suncream, Towel
  • Sun Hat or Cap 
  • Head-torch 
  • First Aid Kit 
  • Purified Water pills if you have, optional
  • Backpack 

Note : We can use a porter if you have a lot of stuff with you.  How we sleep?  For Camping, we make a shelter and we use hammock attached mosquito-net and blanket for sleeping.
