Magnificent Three Tier Waterfall |
Option 1: 2 Days/ 1 Night
Day 1: (4 hours trek)
- Morning: Leave the office in Banlung at 8:30 a.m. to Kachon village. It takes 90 minutes to drive there. Take a scenic boat ride for 50 minutes on SeSan river to a remote village of kachock ethnic minority. Get off the boat meet the indigenous ranger and start the trek from there. At the beginning of the hike, we pass by interesting traditional farm houses.
- Lunch: Stop for lunch at the farm house. Prepare and get changed as we are heading deeper, if you don't want to get cut from the jungle and eaten alive from insects.

- Afternoon: Carry on the trek and hike passing through bamboo forest, rocky hills, some streams, thick jungle and after 4 hours we arrive at the wonderful waterfall. This three tier waterfall measures at least over forty meters and a beautiful clear river at its bottom is waiting for you to rinse the sweat off your body and invigorate your muscles.
- Late Afternoon/ Evening: Help each other to set up a shelter, cook dinner and stay for overnight.
- Night: It is in the night when the jungle comes alive as many animals are nocturnal. If you would like to go for a short night trek to experience the 'nightlife' in the jungle and search for nocturnal wildlife, you can let our guide and ranger know as they are always ready for that.
Day 2: (6 hours trek)

- Morning: Get up at 7 :00am for breakfast . Start with steep but a extremely rewarding climb as on the summit of the mountain is a spectacular view. Hike and trek through lush old jungle, with a chance to see wildlife and birds, our knowledgeable guide and ranger will explain the natural resources.
- Afternoon: Take a well earned break, lunch at the stone field as there is a refreshing stream there. After lunch cut through the jungle to the same village.
- Visit the village and the sacred cemetery of Kachok hill tribe. Our guide and ranger will explain the fasscinating animist beliefs of the ethnic minority people.
- Take a boat back to Kachon and heading back to Banlung.
- You are estimated to be back in Banlung around 4:30-5:00 pm .

Things to bring for trekking:
- Clothes: Long trousers, T-shirts, Bathing suit, a set of clothes for the night.
- Footware: Sturdy boots, socks, flip flops
- Toiletries: Insect repellent, Suncream, Towel
- Sun Hat or Cap
- Head-torch
- First Aid Kit
- Purified Water pills if you have, optional
- Backpack
Note : We can use a porter if you have a lot of stuff with you. How we sleep? For Camping, we make a shelter and we use hammock attached mosquito-net and blanket for sleeping.
